Following a drug investigation, officers have arrested two Ajax men and seized an illegal firearm and a quantity of drugs.
On Thursday, August 26, 2021, members from the Gang and Gun Enforcement Unit arrested two individuals and seized fentanyl, crack cocaine and a quantity of Percocet. They then executed a search warrant at the residence of one of the men and seized a prohibited Glock-19 handgun.
All items were seized and the suspects were arrested without incident.
Sameer HATAMI, age 20 of Hinsley Crescent, in Ajax, is charged with: Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm; Unlicensed Person in Possession of a Prohibited Firearm; Possession of a Loaded Restricted or Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence and Possession of Schedule I for the Purpose of Trafficking x2 (fentanyl and cocaine). He was held for a bail hearing.
Wali SAID ZADA, age 23 of Clarepark Court was charged with Possession of Schedule I for the Purpose of Trafficking (Percocet). He was released on an Undertaking.
