A 22-year-old male has been charged with fraud after selling fake magic trading cards online.
In March of 2021, the victim purchased several Magic Cards from the suspect through an online platform. Shortly after the purchase, the victim received confirmation that the cards were not authentic. The suspect sold the Magic Cards on Facebook Marketplace under the name AJ Bsis.The victim was defrauded of more than $1,500.
Investigators believe there may be other victims that have not come forward to police.
Ayub BSIS, age 22 of Oshawa, is charged with: Fraud Under $5,000 x 2; and Passing Off Wares x 2. He was released on an Undertaking.
