Suspect Arrested after Fleeing from Police in Whitby

Officers arrested a suspect after he fled on foot from police in Whitby on Saturday morning.

On Saturday, September 11, 2021, at approximately 5 a.m., members of Central West Division were conducting patrols and stopped an un-plated motorcycle in the area of Consumers Road and Brock Street in Whitby. The driver became uncooperative, pushed the officer and fled on foot. During a brief foot pursuit, the suspect fell and when he got up, he ran at the officer. The officer used a CEW to gain control of the male and he was arrested without incident.

Tristan CLOUGH, age 28, of Howes Street in Ajax is charged with: Obstruct Police; Assault with Intent to Resist; Fail to Comply with Probation Order; Drive Motor Vehicle – No License; Drive Motor Vehicle – No Plates and Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance.

He was released on an Undertaking.
