Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals are excited to announce the addition of Ashlea Jones to the team’s skill and skating coaching staff.
Jones joins the Generals from her own training business ‘Ashlea Jones Athletes in Training’ which offers elite power skating and hockey skills training.
Jones herself has a strong resume, as she is also a key member of Skate Canada’s figure skating coaching staff in addition to her other skating instruction. Jones was a competitive figure skater for 15 years.
General Manager Roger Hunt says this is a very important hire for the hockey operations of the organization.
“Bringing Ashlea onto the team is a further example that we are committed to always provide the very best for our players and their development.
She brings a very clear philosophy to the ice every single day.
“To be able to help them, I have to figure each player out,” Jones says. “It’s the best feeling to be part of someone’s dream. When you see how hard they work. To help them get better. It’s why I come to the rink every day.”
