Generals Set to Face Bulldogs in Home Opener

New beginnings are always exciting, and that’s what we have here on Friday night as the Oshawa Generals get set to open their 2021-22 campaign at Tribute Communities Centre against the Hamilton Bulldogs.

This game will mark firsts for a lot of members of the Generals organization. It will be the first-ever game as captain for Ty Tullio. The first-ever game as bench boss for Todd Miller. The first-ever game for rookie sensation Calum Ritchie, who did nothing but heighten expectations during the preseason by registering 12 points in six games.

The Generals went 4-2 during the preseason, which included two games versus the Bulldogs. The first was in Hamilton, where Oshawa mounted an impressive comeback to win the game by a score of 5-4 via a shootout. The second game was back at home, where Hamilton won a physical contest by a score of 5-3.

It’s going to be fantastic to have fans back inside the Tributes Communities Centre for what is sure to be an exciting matchup. Both clubs would love to get off to a strong start to set the tone for the rest of the 2021-22 season. These two teams both won once in their two games against each other in the preseason, but none of that matters now. There’s no more warming up, trying line combinations, and getting used to new systems. These games matter and fans of the OHL are ready.
