Happy fall!  Summer flew by but we are happy to announce that in person programming is back!  The City of Pickering invites you to join in the fun, get active and meet new people!

We offer both active and passive programs for adults 55+ as well as children’s programming options.  The health and wellbeing of our community is our top priority and every effort is being taken to offer a safe and enjoyable experience for all.  For those 10 – 14 years of age we have Recreational Basketball, Indoor Games, Break Dancing, Sensational Sports or Games Room Birthday Party Packages and so much more! 

Are you 55 years of age or older?  If you enjoy dancing, then perhaps you would like to try one of our popular dance classes such as Bollywood or Line Dancing – no partner is required. We also offer Pickleball, Ukulele and Art Classes! All levels are welcome.  Other classes include Spanish Levels 1, 2 and 3 and French Language Level 1.

Last but certainly not least, be sure to take advantage of our Seniors Centre Without Walls program. These programs are FREE for Pickering residents and take place over the phone, no internet or computer required, just a landline. All Seniors Centre Without Walls programs can be enjoyed from the comfort and safety of your own home. The City of Pickering requires proof of FULL vaccination will be required for all patrons attending Recreation facilities. Visit the City’s Covid Response page at https://www.pickering.ca/en/city-hall/c19-recreation-programs-and-services.aspx for complete details on this new system.  All programs will follow the Provincial and Health Department Guidelines. Prescreening will be required before the start of every program and maximum numbers will be adhered to. Participants will be required to wear a mask during the prescreening and check in portion of each program and for passive programs they are required for the duration.
